Construction and Alternative Risk Expert Michael Alberico Takes on New Leadership Role at Assurance
Schaumburg, IL (February 25, 2014) - Assurance, an independent insurance brokerage with offices near Chicago and St. Louis, has announced the move of Michael Alberico to Senior Vice President, Construction Practice Leader, effective March 1. Alberico, who previously serviced clients as Assurance’s Alternative Risk Practice Leader, will now focus more heavily on the company’s 400 plus construction clients. He brings over 30 years of industry experience working with alternative risk financing, construction and real estate industry businesses.
Prior to joining Assurance, Alberico served as a practice team leader for a local insurance brokerage firm, where he was instrumental in developing their construction practice group and sales team members. From 1981 to 1998, he held the role of President and CEO of another local insurance brokerage.

Alberico graduated from the University of Illinois - Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Since 1984, he has served on numerous boards and councils – holding several roles as Board President. His strong background in real estate and construction has provided numerous speaking opportunities on risk management and insurance related topics. His local community involvement penetrates both the insurance industry and local organizations across the Chicagoland area.
