"Best Places to Work" Event Recognizes Assurance As A Best Place to Work in Illinois

SCHAUMBURG, IL (June 5, 2008) – Ten large companies and twenty small and mid-sized firms were recognized as “Best Places to Work in Illinois“ at a reception held on June 4, 2008 at the Oak Brook Hills Marriott in Oak Brook, IL. Assurance was awarded third place.

The rankings for this state-wide award were determined through a criteria developed by Best Companies Group, of Harrisburg, Pa., following employee surveys and interviews. “We are pleased to recognize the best places to work in our state,“ said James E. Elsener, president of Ledger Publishing, Inc., and publisher of the Business Ledger. “The quality of the top firms in each category is extremely high and we’re confident they take great pride in being selected.“

Jennifer Moore, Assurance Marketing Communications Specialist, was present at the event to accept the award. “It was an honor to accept the award on behalf of everyone at Assurance. Our company works really hard to make sure employees are happy because we know happy employees equal happy clients. And that’s a big factor in the success we’ve had over the years,“ says Jennifer.

The statewide competition was co-sponsored by The Business Ledger, the Illinois Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Managers and The Illinois State Chamber of Commerce. The Business Ledger will publish a supplement to its August 4, 2008 edition profiling the recognized companies.
