Assurance Named Schaumburg's "Business of the Month"

SCHAUMBURG, IL (November 24, 2008) – Assurance, headquartered in Schaumburg, IL, was recognized by the Village of Schaumburg in the community’s local quarterly newsletter, The Cracker Barrel as September’s “Business of the Month”. The insurance brokerage has received numerous other accolades this year including being recognized as a “Top Best Place to Work” by both Crain’s Chicago Business and The Business Ledger, and named one of Chicagoland’s “101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For”. Assurance also ranked in the top 75 insurance brokerages of Business Insurance’s July publication of the “Largest Broker’s of U.S. Business”.

The Village of Schaumburg selected Assurance based on the active role Assurance plays in the community. Specifically mentioned was the support of the Schaumburg Business Association and the charitable efforts of the employee-driven Assurance Caring Together (A.C.T.) program. Through A.C.T., employees get involved with volunteer events, food drives, clothing drives and fundraising activities for local charities. Assurance provides each employee with an extra paid day off each year to volunteer their time for various organizations including Clearbrook, GiGi’s Playhouse, Northern Illinois Food Bank, Special Olympics and The Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind.
