Industry Veteran Mike McGuire Joins Assurance Agency

SCHAUMBURG, IL (April 27, 2009) – Assurance Agency, Ltd., one of Chicagoland’s largest independent insurance brokerages, has announced the addition of insurance broker and advisor, Mike McGuire. McGuire takes on the role of Vice President and will be responsible for new business development and client consultation. He brings over 20 years of expertise in the insurance industry, with a focus on helping clients control costs. McGuire uses a consultative approach to help clients identify the right solutions.

Most recently, McGuire held the role of Vice President at Willis. In this role, he worked with a large clientele base of middle market size businesses across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Willis, McGuire held similar roles at Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs and Thilman & Filippini. McGuire began his career in insurance at Thilman & Filippini in 1988.

McGuire received his Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, IN and his Masters degree in Business Administration from Loyola University in Chicago, IL. He has also received his Associate in Risk Management designation and is licensed in both Property & Casualty insurance and Live & Health insurance. He and his wife Ingrid of 18 years along with their sons Jack and Charlie and daughter Ellie have been life-long residents of Chicago’s North Shore.
