Assurance Recognizes Importance of Employee Appreciation

SCHAUMBURG, IL (August 19, 2010) - Assurance Agency Ltd., located in Schaumburg, IL, recently celebrated employee appreciation day at Chicago Indoor Racing in Addison, IL. Each year, for the past twenty years, Assurance has organized an employee appreciation celebration to thank and recognize its employees for their hard work and success. Vice President, Human Resources, Lisa Pinion states, “Employee appreciation and recognition is a vital aspect in the success of an organization. By providing celebrations and gatherings for our employees, it helps us reinforce how thankful we are for all they do on behalf of our clients.”

Each summer Assurance shuts its doors for a day and takes time for an all-out celebration. Past events have included renting out The House of Blues, a private performance at Chicago's Second City, a Lake Michigan boat cruise around Chicago and a private Hawaiian Luau complete with hula dancers.

This year, Assurance employees showed off their racing skills at Chicago Indoor Racing. Chicago Indoor Racing features two indoor European kart tracks, several other gaming options, and CyberSport, an updated version of a Chicago favorite, WhirlyBall. Assurance employees enjoyed an abundance of food from Clark’s and followed up with some friendly, but competitive racing. Colleen Minarik, Manager of Marketing & Events, noted “Employee Appreciation Day is only one of the many ways Assurance likes to take a break from our busy days and spend time to truly thank our employees for all of their hard work. Most companies are not able to allow their employees a day off due to budget constraints, so we are very proud we can get together in this format and share the day.”
