Assurance University to Offer Crash Course Seminar in Fleet Safety and Risk Management
Schaumburg, IL (April 17, 2012) - The last U.S. Census recorded more than 10.8 million motor vehicle crashes in the U.S. With the number of accidents continuing to rise, employees authorized to drive can severely impact claims and insurance costs for your organization. As a result, Assurance University is hosting a seminar to educate companies on the importance of driver fitness and qualification, drug and alcohol testing, hours of service, fatigued driving and vehicle maintenance regulations.
The seminar – titled “A Crash Course in Fleet Safety and Risk Management” – will be held on Tuesday, May 8 in Schaumburg, IL. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m., and the presentation will be conducted from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Presenters George Kalute (Loss Control Consultant, Philadelphia Insurance Companies), Tony Kester (Chief Instructor and Former Professional Race Car Driver) and Mike England (President, DOT Compliance Help, Inc.) will unveil what the Department of Transportation and the general public know about your company’s safety record, and why Motor Vehicle Record checks are necessary. Kester will explore how professional race car drivers can equip your company’s drivers with advanced instruction and personal readiness training. At the end, all attendees will leave understanding the basics of vehicle dynamics, why the vehicle acts certain ways, and how this could influence your fleet.
