Assurance University to Host a Seminar on the Effects of Workers' Compensation and a Hard Market for Illinois Staffing Companies

Schaumburg, IL (March 7, 2012) - Assurance University, a continuing education program presented by a “Top 50” insurance broker, will host a seminar for staffing professionals titled “Workers’ Compensation Forecast: Hard Market Will Lead to Increased Premiums for Illinois Staffing Companies”. If a predicted hard market comes to fruition, the local and national workers’ compensation (WC) marketplace will be altered and staffing agencies can expect a surge in premiums. To address this concern, Assurance University will present a two hour seminar that will educate attendees on WC changes and their implications, as well as a projection on future reform.

The seminar is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, 2012 with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. CST. The presentation will be from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. CST at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Schaumburg, IL.

During the WC seminar, presenters will explain the current status of the Illinois and national WC market and its impact on companies that place employees within the state. In relation, preventative measures to negate the effects of the hard market will also be discussed. Furthermore, staffing professionals will get an overview of the methodology behind the adoption of PPP’s and explore the current status and issues surrounding PPP utilization.
