ASA Care Awards and the Value of Corporate Social Responsibility
"One of the greatest rewards of working in the staffing industry is the ability to make a real difference in the lives of others," said American Staffing Association (ASA) past chairman Linda Carchidi, CSP, of JFC Staffing Associates. "I believe that our industry has an obligation to actively contribute to enhancing our communities and improving the lives of our employees."
One way for your staffing firm to fulfill this obligation is to integrate corporate social responsibility (CSR) managing business processes to produce an overall positive effect on society into your business.
By giving time and money to deserving causes, staffing firms build relationships with the community, strengthen their own employees' commitment and raise their corporate profile. All of that is ROI. Often, such CSR initiatives also boost employee morale and foster collaborative environments that result in more productive and happier team members.
ASA Care Awards
ASA created the Care Awards to recognize outstanding corporate social responsibility initiatives among member companies and affiliated chapters. This August, Assurance was one of three recipients of the ASA Care Award (supplier category) joining the likes of AMN Healthcare and Incepture. We were recognized on behalf our Assurance Caring Together program.
We firmly believe in the power of CSR and have provided additional resources to help you get started with your program.
