Don't Believe the Hype
As an insurance broker, we deal with competition on a day in, day out basis. That’s our game and quite frankly, we love it! That’s what’s driven us to be one of the most successful insurance brokerages in the country. To a great extent, how we win is quite simple:
- Identify our target prospects
- Understand their challenges and desires
- Impress them with our great employees
- Impress them with a service platform that minimizes risk and maximizes health
- Execute and make their business better every day
- Calculate the value we bring on an annual basis
This is how we win business and how we keep our clients. It’s a pretty simple model! And we always welcome new competition. Competition is what drives us to be the best we can be for our clients. It keeps us in check with regards to what we’re providing and the manner in which we’re providing it. One thing we’ve always prided ourselves on is respecting our competition and keeping it friendly. Unfortunately, that doesn’t hold true for some newer competitors in the market. Their strategy of misrepresenting and falsifying information to try to drive business, doesn’t sit well with me. Again, I’m a competitive individual, but stick to the facts people.
Many of you are the buyers of insurance, benefits and/or business insurance, and I would ask one thing of you. Don’t believe the hype! Understand what your business needs are as well as the needs of your employees prior to making any decisions with regards to ‘new’ or ‘free’ services being offered or promised from newer providers. And really question it when someone tells you all their services are free. Really. I’m guessing if all your services were free, you wouldn’t be in business very long.
The great brokers out there (like Assurance) have many creative ways to meet your specific insurance challenges. And while technology is often a key component in the delivery of our services, it’s certainly not everything. Technology still can’t replace the hands-on expertise a talented insurance broker can deliver to help you accomplish your overall business goals and make your company better.
It’s true that there’s no one size fits all approach. We’re proud we can provide multiple different solutions based on the specific needs of each individual client and price these solutions to deliver exceptional value. And more importantly, we can do it in a way that we can hold our head high!
