As mentioned in our previous notices, the MA Paid Family and Medical Leave Act employee deduction requirement was delayed until October 1, 2019. Accordingly, the notice to employee requirement was also delayed until September 30, 2019.

As anticipated, a revised template for employee notification has been issued. The templates can be found at the links below.

Employers who notified their workforce to meet the original deadline of July 1 will need to distribute an amendment to those employees to notify them of the updated rates for 2019. The amendments can be found at the links below.

In addition, a calculator has been provided to assist employers in calculating the estimated cost of the program.
