Schaumburg, IL (August 13, 2013) - For the fourth year in a row Assurance, an independent insurance brokerage with offices in Chicago and St. Louis, has won the ASA Care Award for corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the associate member category. These national awards recognize outstanding corporate charitable initiatives among American Staffing Association (ASA) member companies, associate members and affiliated chapters.

A panel of CSR experts selected winners in six categories. Four categories were staffing firms of varying size, one category featured an associate member (a company that provides products or services to the staffing industry) and the last one was an ASA-affiliated chapter. Assurance won the associate member category due in large part to its Assurance Caring Together (ACT) program.

The mission of Assurance's employee-driven ACT program is to "inspire hope in local communities by becoming actively involved and developing meaningful partnerships with charitable organizations." Over the past nine years, Assurance has donated over 12,600 labor hours to local charities, organized dozens of drives, partnered with hundreds of charitable organizations, created educational scholarships with a total contribution of $560,000 and given away hundreds of thousands of dollars to causes and organizations both locally and nationally.

"ACT provides a wonderful opportunity for Assurance employees to remain connected to the local community and have fun working together while helping others," said Diane Poljak, Senior Vice President and Practice Leader of Assurance's staffing team. She continued, "We're honored to be recognized by the American Staffing Association and committed to working with the association to promote the benefits of CSR to staffing companies across the nation.”

ASA Care Awards winners will be honored Oct. 10 at Staffing World® 2013, the ASA convention and expo, in Orlando.
