Schaumburg, Ill. (January 7, 2020) – Assurance is pleased to announce the 2019 Employees of the Year: Schaumburg, Ill. resident Natalie Breymeyer, senior account manager for the business insurance practice; Carol Stream, Ill. resident Rachel Uhrig, senior financial analyst for the employee benefits practice, and Homer Glen, Ill. resident Pete Murphy, carrier liaison for the business insurance operations division.

Steven Handmaker, chief marketing officer, and Liz Smith, president, announced the awards at the annual holiday party in early December. Handmaker and Smith honored the recipients for being significant contributors to the company’s 2019 successes. Each employee was chosen by company managers and leaders for their dedication, expertise, work ethic, unwavering ability to deliver outstanding client results and for attributing to Assurance’s long-term goals and objectives.

Liz Smith commented on the 2019 Employees of the Year: “Natalie Breymeyer learns concepts at lightning speed and she’s even considered the “Class Code Guru” with a memory vault like no other employee. Rachel Uhrig has become a driving force behind powering our growth in employee benefits through analytics. Rachel’s so good at her job, that our analytics software vendor has asked her to speak as an expert at their client panels. And Pete Murphy has added infinite value, creativity, and revenue through his market relationships and has taken his role as a carrier liaison to new heights. We’re so proud to call these individuals our 2019 Employees of the Year!”

Natalie Breymeyer continues to enhance onboarding methods for her practice and delivers meaningful and unmatched service to her clients.

“I’m honored to be one of the lucky three to be recognized as Employee of the Year. I always strive to provide our clients with top-notch service. Whether it’s a class code request, coverage question, or finding them the most cost-effective plan for their needs, my clients can rely on me to provide them with incomparable service,” said Breymeyer.

Rachel Uhrig revamped several employee benefits processes and continues to transform the way clients evaluate analytics.

“I strive to live by Assurance’s vision of minimizing risk and maximizing health. I minimize risk by helping my clients detect risks within their medical claims and track plan utilization through member behavior analytics. The revamped Assurance Data Insights platform has led to a larger conversation with our clients and prospects.  There have been numerous prospects this year where analytics played a big part in their decision to choose Assurance,” said Uhrig.

Pete Murphy has become a rejuvenating and innovative player in the property and casualty carrier liaison space.

“Since I started my role, we’ve enhanced our market relationships, created a carrier scoring system, included financial analytics in each conversation, added employee feedback surveys, developed a market product fair and influenced new sponsorships for Assurance. I’m proud of the value that this role continues to offer to our agency and our market partners,” said Murphy.
