Who: 15 Assurance volunteers spent a paid day off work volunteering with Safe Humane Chicago. This Illinois not-for-profit’s mission is to create safe and humane communities by inspiring positive relationships between people and animals. Their program focuses on benefits of the human-animal bond through education, advocacy and second chances.
What: Assurance employees provided attention and love to needy dogs by:
- Making 60 pounds of dog treats
- Walking 12 dogs
- Entertaining 40 dogs through kennel enrichment

All volunteer days are organized by the company’s employee-driven charitable foundation, Assurance Caring Together (ACT).
