Who: 25 hard-working and compassionate Assurance employees braved the heat to volunteer at Special Olympics’ Golf Skills Competition. Special Olympics is the world’s largest program for sports training and athletic competition for children with intellectual disabilities, inspiring greatness in more than 1 million athletes in 150 nations worldwide.
What: Assurance is proud to support the Special Olympics cause for a second time this year. Company volunteers helped with the Golf Skills Competition and were especially excited for the end of the day medal ceremony.
Volunteers assisted during the golf competition by:
- Setting up skill stations
- Assisting athletes to different stations
- Filling out athletes' score cards
- Cheering on athletes during the medal ceremony
