Who: Assurance employees spent a paid day off from work volunteering at Recovery on Water. Assurance Caring Together (ACT) charity partner, Recovery on Water, is a rowing team that gives survivors of breast cancer the unique opportunity to interact, become active in their recovery and gain support from fellow survivors.

What: ACT volunteers spent the day disassembling, thoroughly washing and reassembling rowing boats. It takes eight people or more to safely lift the boats off of the racks and carry them. Not only did Assurance volunteers get a lesson about the row boats, but a lesson in team building as well.

Where: Chicago, IL
