Schaumburg, Ill. (September 19, 2019) – Assurance, the 35th largest insurance brokerage in the U.S., received Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®  Elite Award for the 11th consecutive year and the Iconic Award by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR). Most notably, companies that were selected for the Iconic Award have received one of the competitive Elite Awards for at least five consecutive years. Assurance team members accepted the Elite Award for Community Initiatives and the Iconic Award on September 16 and 17 at the 2019 Best and Brightest Award Gala in Chicago.

With over 20 years of experience conducting The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® competition, the NABR identifies and honors a limited number of organizations that display competitive compensation and benefits, work-life balance, diversity, employee enrichment, community initiatives, shared vision, communication, as well as other key factors.

“Now with the war on talent hitting the doorsteps of the Best and Brightest, this achievement means even more than a year ago. As we continue to raise the bar, these companies rise to the challenge through their cultural innovation by maximizing their workforce potential,” said Jennifer Kluge, president and CEO, Best and Brightest Programs.

Assurance’s chief operating officer, Jackie Gould, commented on the multiple recognitions:

Our ‘A’ Team is the reason for our highly productive work environment because they consistently perform at their best and deliver outstanding client results. We’re grateful for the talent that continues to drive our Assurance culture and successes.

Assurance proudly took home the Elite Award for Community Initiatives in Chicago on September 16. The organization applauds its Assurance Caring Together (ACT) program as a driving force behind its year-round presence in the community.  ACT is the volunteer committee of employees who coordinate Assurance’s charitable initiatives. Each year, ACT supports a number of nonprofit organizations through monetary, drive and onsite volunteer efforts. In 2019, there will be 21 onsite volunteering events and 34 other nonprofit partners that will receive monetary donations from the 1% operating profit Assurance designates towards charities. In addition, the organization has two premium-level partnerships with organizations that share Assurance’s culture of caring and closely align with its passion for minimizing risk and maximizing health. The American Heart Association and Special Spaces of Chicagoland are the 2019 premium partners.
