Assurance and Chicago Cubs Announce Expanded Business Relationship with 'Assurance Club' at Wrigley Field

Agreement includes the naming rights to Wrigley Field's Executive Club of Chicago.

Schaumburg, Ill. (February 24, 2015) – In an expanded deal struck with the Chicago Cubs, insurance brokerage Assurance will  become the new partner for the former Executive Club of Chicago at Wrigley Field. The agreement includes exclusive naming rights to the mezzanine suite-level club in Wrigley Field, television and broadcast exposure, along with branding and other game day and event opportunities. Effective immediately, the Executive Club of Chicago will be referred to as the ‘Assurance Club’ with new signage posted along the third base side and throughout the ballpark.

The agreement comes at a time of growth and change within both organizations. The Cubs continue to make significant investments in their talent and facilities, while Assurance continues its steady climb in the Chicago and U.S. marketplace. Headquartered in Schaumburg, the company opened its first major downtown Chicago office at 111 N. Canal Street in the summer of 2014. Also this past year, Assurance was named a Best Place to Work in Chicago by numerous local and national publications.

Since 2009, Assurance has served as an insurance brokerage partner of the Chicago Cubs organization. In addition to providing a variety of property and casualty services throughout the Chicagoland area, including certain coverage for the Chicago Cubs, Assurance provides employee benefits consulting and is the brokerage responsible for assisting the Chicago Cubs with their employee benefits program and employee wellness initiatives.

Beyond the insurance work, Assurance has played an active role donating to Cubs Charities through their annual Bricks and Ivy Ball.  As a business partner, Assurance is supportive of the 1060 Project for Wrigley Field preservation and further community development.

“The Cubs are very pleased to grow our partnership with Assurance at Wrigley Field as the company expands its roots in Chicago,” said Cubs Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships Allen Hermeling. “The all-inclusive Assurance Club offers networking with Cubs Hall of Famers and seventh inning stretch celebrity guest conductors for a premium experience unlike any other in Wrigley Field.”

Tony Chimino, chief executive officer at Assurance points out, “We have very similar ideologies and corporate values. I hope through this expanded partnership, we’re able to help the Cubs achieve their ultimate business goals both on and off the field. Notably, bringing a World Championship to a fan base that is certainly deserving of one.”

The Assurance Club will be unveiled on Opening Day at Wrigley Field, April 5, 2015.
