Schaumburg, Ill. (July 16, 2015) – Assurance, a Top 50 U.S. insurance brokerage, continued its commitment to giving on July 15, 2015, when a number of employees spent their work day volunteering with Aspire. This is the fourth year Assurance volunteers assisted the organization.
Aspire is a leader in providing bold, pioneering and uncompromising services to children and adults with developmental disabilities, their families and the Chicagoland community. They are one of the most innovative human service nonprofits in the Midwest with a dedicated staff of more than 250 that serves over 585 children and 320 adults every year.
The volunteer opportunity is one of 17 similar events scheduled for 2015 where Assurance employees donate their time to deserving nonprofit organizations. All volunteer days are organized by the company’s employee-driven charitable foundation, Assurance Caring Together (ACT).
“It was a wonderfult event, and Aspire was very grateful for our efforts,” said Alexis Awe, account manager at Assurance. “They only have three events throughout the summer, and we were lucky to be one of them!”
Under the motto “We Can Be Heroes”, Assurance employees donated over 17,000 labor hours in a ten year span through volunteer opportunities organized by ACT.
