SEEK achieves a $770,000 insurance premium reduction through risk management efforts with Assurance
Schaumburg, Ill. (June 9, 2015) – Assurance is pleased to recognize SEEK as a Minimizing Risk, Maximizing Health (MRMH) award recipient. SEEK, a full-service staffing agency based in Grafton, Wisconsin, has been a client of Assurance the past five years and began working with the insurance brokerage’s risk management division the last three years.
The MRMH award is open to all Assurance clients that work alongside the Top 50 U.S. insurance brokerage to achieve quantifiable results in minimizing workplace risk and maximizing the health and wellbeing of employees. Clients must meet certain criteria to qualify, including a quantifiable reduction or improvement in a variety of key areas.
Assurance began working with SEEK on its safety initiatives in early 2012 when the company experienced a sharp increase in premiums. Assurance’s risk management department performed a Safety360 diagnostic which looked at the entire safety program and provided specific recommendations. Some of those recommendations included:
- Hiring an experienced safety manager to oversee SEEK’s 13 locations
- Establishing health and safety performance goals for each location
- Defining safety roles and establishing a safety committee
- Implementing a safety program focused on loss trends
- Utilizing Assurance’s Risk Management Web Portal for safety trainings, handouts and incident tracking
SEEK took Assurance’s recommendations, combined it with their own initiatives, and created a thriving safety culture. In just two years, SEEK experienced a 47 percent decrease in their loss ratio and $770,000 in premium savings.
