Schaumburg, Ill. (October 13, 2015) – Shelter Inc. honored Assurance at a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres event on October 6 at the Hyatt Schaumburg. Guy Eisenhuth, one of Shelter Inc.’s board members and President/CEO of Village Bank and Trust, recognized Assurance for their many acts of kindness and generosity to Shelter Inc.
Shelter Inc.’s mission is to help protect children who are abused, neglected, dependent or in need of supervision. The group provides 24-hour emergency and longer-term care and creates community awareness by promoting healthy family relationships to reduce child abuse and neglect.
Through Assurance’s employee-driven charitable committee, Assurance Caring Together (ACT), the company has established a relationship with Shelter Inc. by donating $62,000 over the past 11 years. In return, Shelter Inc. has been the beneficiary of Assurance’s Set UP program and ACT food drives.

After the awards, Shelter Inc. announced that their 28th annual Charity Ball, which will be held on November 20 at the Hyatt Regency in Schaumburg, will be themed “Carnaval.”
