Who: Assurance employees dedicated a paid day off to volunteer with local Assurance Caring Together (ACT) charity partner, Recovery on Water. Recovery on Water is a local rowing team that supports breast cancer survivors. The charity promotes an active and rejuvenating recovery alternative for individuals who have undergone breast cancer treatments. As a rowing team, the survivors gain support from fellow survivors while psychologically and physically becoming stronger together.

What: Assurance employees spent the day cleaning 6 boats, including their practice barge. Each boat was brought down from storage racks and thoroughly cleaned inside and out. Assurance volunteers became their very own rowing team as they worked together to prepare the boats for the summer season and Recovery on Water survivors.

When: Tuesday, May 21, 2019
